  Discard the term and notion of nuclear as defining what the term family might encompass.
  

  Are not your old parents in another town still family?

  Are young folks who moved away to their first job, or school or just relishing their own independence in a pad of their own or with new friends - are they not still family and deserving of every benefit, protection and comfort that families naturally extend among their members?

  Only a demented cult could publish that disgusting video of the young lady trying to call her god-damaged parents and being intentionally ignored. The self-righteous male asshole pretending that the daily-text drivel is more important than his own daughters need for comfort. Meanwhile, little submissive female asshole imagines that destroying a young persons trust in their own parents is going to drive them straight back into the hateful arms of the same organization that coercively mandates this disgraceful reaction within its members families.

  Do you see whats legally wrong in the second equation? (Hint) - it's calculated, directed, targetted and enforced ECCLESIASTICAL INTERFERENCE for a NON-MEMBERS entire remaining lifetime!

  This is enforced persecution of an individual by a religion that invented the hateful doctrine just a few decades ago. It is NOT Freedom of or freedom from religion as the Human rights laws intend.

  One of Regina Spiess' exonerated criticisms of JWs is that they collude to force member individuals to forfeit their own rights to religious freedom by coercing them to deny those same rights to others. - thus, the entire process is a violation of everyones' rights, not just for those shunned but those who must shun to avoid the same mistreatment.

  This salient point is that JWs instruct and practice organizational persecution of citizens who have legally gained a chosen religious freedom guaranteed by their states laws. Info Sekt

  If you have already Quit Quietly (while in good standing BTW) and have the documents to prove that you are not a member, you are in good stead to continue to visit the hall, to fraternize with loved ones.

  The idea to quit quietly was to protect those who wished to continue to attend for family, but feared if/when their fade went badly they would be 'apostacised' and DF'd.

  Being an actual, documented nonmember relegates you from ecclesiaical target to "sorry- just a visitor" status.

  Info Sekta has offered assistance to future prosecutors of WT on the basis of WT having violated the rights for violating the rights of blameless individuals.

  I imagine this issue will become far more damaging than even the CSA as far more people have been victims and the WT has already lost so so much credibility.- and their still doing it!

  So, with a few well-chosen words, and the undeniable clarity of ink on paper, you pre-empted their usual violations of character and integrity that so define JW judicial proceedings - well done Dianne!.

  Glad to hear that you disavowed any connection with disassociation - what were your reasons for that?

  I assume you claimed this right of religious freedom under some amendment to a constitution or a charter of freedom in one of Satans horrifying liberal democracies and not from any kind of theocratic grace?

  Baptism implies lifelong membership.

  Hence the insane drive by god-damaged parents to commit 10-year-olds to baptism. Elders will consider the only legitimate exemption is death.

  Any future free-will changes to your religious beliefs, practices or association will inevitably be deemed as apostasy and disfellowship will ensue.

  That brutality worked well for 2000 years but now, thanks to satans' wicked, evil governments - we have universal human rights which relegate religious belief and practice 100% to the voluntary control of the individual in the hope that religion might finally become a comfort and solace during lifes' tumult, and no longer be the blunt instrument of vicious cult enforcement.

  Religion is a voluntary undertaking - by remaining a member you willingly choose to be governed by its' internal laws

  Mr. Wall was a member of the Highwood Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, an unincorporated religious association. He was disfellowshipped by a Judicial Committee of elders because he was not sufficiently repentant for two incidents of drunkenness, one of which included verbal abuse of his wife. This required Jehovah’s Witnesses, including his wife and children, to shun him. He is a real estate agent and lost congregation members and other Jehovah’s Witnesses as clients. He appealed to an Appeal Committee which upheld the disfellowship decision. The Watch Tower and Bible Tract Society of Canada decided not to overturn the decision.   What one single factor cruciified Mr. Wall? Membership in a religious organization that does hateful things.

  Read lines 3 and 4 in the case overview -

  What are the boundaries between what is and is not justiciable with regard to membership and other disputes between members of voluntary associations.

  The word justiciable means (a state or action) subject to trial in a court of law.

  If Mr. Wall had quit quietly sometime prior to his troubles, the elders would have not been able to take ecclesiastical action against him as a non-member. He may have been shunned by individuals for his conduct but he could not have been disfellowshipped.

  To take ecclesiastic action against non-members would violate that persons freedom of religion - an action that could be tried in court.

  Elders cannot imply that a nonmember is apostate as they don't know what you do or don't believe because they no longer have any right to grill a non-member - nor should you tell them if they ask - nothing- they are no longer your elders.

  For them to even encourage others to shun a non-member would certainly violate your new freedoms of religion and association - both justicial actions

  Can you imagine the dissention this action could cause in a congregation - not knowing who had already claimed their freedom by private document and the absurd situation of those same people still freely associating with family and friends as simply regular 'visitors' to the hall? and the elders powerless to do anything lest they commit a justiciable action?

  Happily, the same separation of state and religion that gives cults limitless powers over their membership also supports those who exercise their right to freedom of religion anytime anywhere, for any reason. One quarter of the US electoral population is now "unaffiliated" religiously. Many have happily escaped the JWs.

  The topic was really started to suggest how people can escape from cults by exercising whatever human rights guarantees that are likely written right into their states' laws.

  Please don't use this thread to preach from the same bag of crazy from which so many wish to escape.

  I don't go to he hall to quibble over scripture, I go to see if my grandkids are still alive.

  This information and encouragement to act courageously is aimed at the growing multitude who no longer care what crap a doomed cult preaches or practices. They just WANT OUT.

  Notarizing is good as it makes the date of your emancipation indisputable.

  After this date the elders no longer have ecclesiastic authority.

  It is unnecessary (and unwise) to provide your reasons for your decision as to do so will provide a platform for elders discussion which you want no part of.

  As their own publications state - you are welcome, sit where you like and, as human rights legislation states you can talk to whom you wish about whatever you wish.

  No need to appear to be invisible- stand up for your rights.
